I haven't been shy since my first cry! I keep myself laughing as I combine my corporate, entrepreneurial, foodie and never boring social and dating lives. It's a great thing that I don't need much sleep! I love connecting amazing people and am always looking for the world's best desserts!

Frozen yogurt to 125th Street...

I walked from the UWS yesterday to and from Bloomies and of course couldn't walk home without my favorite frozen yogurt.  If you haven't experienced this dessert...what are you waiting for?

Their small size portions (Yes SMALL) are very generous as you can see.  They're so hefty that you probably need to run for an extra hour after enjoying this nosh.

Warning...when you sit with your yogurt at Bloomies...there are very strict guidelines to
follow!
I decided after my walk back to the UWS, I would save a few bucks and take the subway to Metro North instead of hailing down a cab.  I was off to see a production of Rent with my family at a local dinner theater where the highlight is usually the tiny corn muffins.

My subway went right past my stop of 125th Street for some reason and let me off in Washington Heights.  I quickly bonded with these two adorable women on the train as they asked me why we didn't stop.  Funny...since I was about to ask them the same question.  They were off to Sylvia's in Harlem for lunch and I walked with them for about 2 blocks past 135th street.  These two almost 80 year olds were walking so slowly as they were planning their fried chicken meals,  that if I walked with them all the way to their lunch...it would have been dinner time and I would have missed the show.  Those characters had chutzpah though...when they said to me...next time lunch is on you!

I was well aware that I was going to miss my 3pm train to Scarsdale after my subway incident but who knew I was in for such an adventure...

Annie's (love that movie) not the only one who got excited when she saw a 5th Avenue sign!  I knew I was finally getting closer to the station as that west to east walk is quite a schlep while carrying a large tote in the heat.

After walking for a while of course I had to pish...

In search of a clean bathroom, I first tried a nail salon where the owner said the bathroom was only for customers.  He was nasty and I pick my battles.  My next stop was to the Dunkin Donuts where they had no bathroom but how funny is this sign???  I guess I won't meet a real schmoozer there since there's a time limit!

I made quick friends with a security guard at a Rite Aid who let me use their private bathroom so I guess third time's the CHARM!!!  It was fascinating as their stock room was like a Costco and I actually enjoyed my behind the scenes tour.  I figured the least I could do was buy a Sprite Zero!

If you're looking for a luxury wig...a new shop is opening up around Amsterdam I discovered.

So not only did I walk to and from Bloomies...now I'm walking much longer than I thought I would to the train so of course I had on the wrong shoes.  Yes of course they were cute bright yellow Tory Burch flip flops...but were totally not the right choice!   My feet were killing me by now.  I was so thirsty and drinking a soda that was no longer cold as well.  I was so busy laughing to myself thinking about all the interesting people I was meeting so it didn't matter how hot my drink was.  However, as I was approaching Fifth Avenue I was really HYSTERICAL laughing when I saw this "HOW DOES MY BUTT LOOK?!!!" sign.  So...I encourage all of you to call this number when you have a free second and I can't wait to hear what you find out!  They'll probably tell you to simply buy SPANX!!!  ;)

Yesterday afternoon I did save a few dollars (took a much later train than the planned one of course) but most importantly...I LAUGHED so hard I was practically crying!!!

Who needs the Emmy Awards Red Carpet when you can walk down 125th Street for entertainment?
